A SUNRISE ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK ADVENTURE ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Along with many of the other rad adventure babes I work with, I met Nikki through the Women Colorado Who Hike Group. When I found out that she was planning an adventurous mountain elopement in Colorado with her fiancé Brian for next summer and still needed a photographer, I was so excited! We instantaneously bonded over our love for adventure, Colorado, mountain elopements, and our little rescue Heelers.

For Nikki and Bryan's engagement session, we met at the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado at 5:30am, with the intent to do their photos on the top of Trail Ridge Road at sunrise. On our way up to the top, we had to forfeit that plan because the wind was SO bad to the point we didn't even think it'd be safe to drive to the top! Colorado weather is crazy and you never know what to expect, but lucky for us there is beauty literally everywhere you look in this park.

On our way back down Trail Ridge Road we found a gorgeous little pull-off that we thought would be perfect! We were the only ones there to soak up the sunrise and it was absolutely amazing. Nikki & Bryan spent the morning frolicking around this beautiful meadow and doing lots of snuggling to stay warm.

I absolutely love how laid back and go with the flow these two were, even when our morning may not have gone according to plan. They trusted me, my vision, and were determined to have fun regardless! It has been so amazing getting to know these two over the last few months and I am BEYOND excited to capture their intimate adventure elopement next summer at the Maroon Bells in Aspen, Colorado.
